Quartz is virtually maintenance free as a hard non-porous surface with no sealing required to renew the lustre. Soap and water or a mild detergent is enough to keep your Unique Quartz looking like new. |If necessary you can use a non-abrasive soft soap along with a non-scratch or delicate pad, afterwards thoroughly rinse with clean water to remove residue.|Unique Quartz is more heat resistant, durable and hard wearing than other|stone surfaces including most granites, marble and limestone. But it does need|protection from very high temperatures (above 150oC or 300oF) or sudden|extreme temperature changes. Therefore we suggest that hot pots and pans never be directly placed on the surface. |We recommend a hot pad or trivet be placed under cooking equipment such as electric frying pans, crock pots and toaster ovens.|Lifes inevitable spills and stains can usually be cleaned away effortlessly|with mild detergent, cleaner and water.|To remove stuck on material gently scrape away the excess with a plastic|putty knife or non-scratch pad then wipe with warm water.|For extra stubborn stains a non-scratch ScotchBriteTM pad is recommended along with a non-abrasive cleaner, which wont dull the surface shine.|Like any other surface, Unique Quartz can be permanently damaged if exposed to strong chemicals and solvents that affect its physical properties.|Avoid the use of strong chemicals, solvents and highly abrasive cleaning|agents such as oven/grill cleaners and dishwasher polishing agents that have|high alkaline/pH levels (higher than 11). Products containing oils or powder may leave a residue and should be rinsed off immediately. Never clean with products that contain Trichloroethane or Methylene Chloride such as paint remover or strippers. Should your surface be exposed to any of these damaging products,wash immediately with warm water to neutralise the effect.
